"Another Student Suspended for Dissing Teacher on Facebook"
By Peter Jamison
SF Weekly
October 26, 2011

Excerpts (see news article cited directly above):

  • According to the lawsuit, (the student) "criticized one of his teachers on Facebook" -- the nature of the insult is not specified -- one night "from his own computer, in his own bedroom, at his parents' home."
  • The comment was apparently formatted so that it could only be read by 10 other students on Facebook. One of them took a picture of the post and sent it to the teacher, who shared it with the principal of Brusly High School, in West Baton Rouge Parish. The principal asserted that the comment violated the school's policy for "improper access of the Internet."

  • Teachers and professors are the worst hypocritical crybabies on the planet.
    • Teachers and professors are constantly making outrageous and infalammatory statements.  Then, these scumbag teachers and professors hide behind their Right to Free Speech, but these scumbag teachers and professors do not respect the Right to Free Speech when their students speak.
    • Tenured teachers and professors are the absolute worst because they know they are untouchable.
  • Teachers and professors cannot tolerate a dissenting opinion. Nor, can they tolerate any criticism.
    • Teachers and professors routinely punish dissenting students with bad grades knowing that doing so will directly harm the students' future.
