SUGGESTED DEMANDS

for

99ers,
Occupiers,
and any other persons who want fairness and change.



[1] Independent investigation of all entities that received “bailout funds” to determine whether any person associated with such entity violated any federal criminal law and/or state criminal law. If any person is found to have violated such law(s), such person must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and must receive the maximum sentence for any conviction, especially fines.

[2] Independent investigation of all entities that received “bailout funds” to determine whether any person associated with such entity violated any federal civil law or state civil law (e.g. negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of duty of loyalty). If any person is found to have violated such law(s), an independent government agency must file a civil lawsuit against such person and seek the maximum recovery.

[3] same as #1 regarding criminal prosecution of the entity.

[4] same as #2 regarding civil lawsuit against the entity.

[5] same as #1 through #4 regarding any person and/or entity accused of misconduct regarding a mortgage, including any person and/or entity that sold an investment involving a mortgage.

[6] same as #1 through #4 regarding any person and/or entity accused of misconduct regarding a foreclosure.

[7] Enactment of a federal law that prohibits any federal employee from receiving annual taxable compensation from the federal employer (including overtime, bonuses, and any other forms of taxable compensation) greater than the average taxable compensation of a similar position in the private sector in the same metropolitan area.  A reasonable maximum compensation cap must be established for positions that do not have a similar private sector counterpart (e.g. law enforcement, firefighters, etc.).

[8] Enactment of a state law (in each individual state) that prohibits any state employee from receiving annual taxable compensation from the state employer (including overtime, bonuses, and any other forms of taxable compensation) greater than the average taxable compensation of a similar position in the private sector in the same metropolitan area.  A reasonable maximum compensation cap must be established for positions that do not have a similar private sector counterpart (e.g. law enforcement, firefighters, etc.).

[9] Enactment of a federal law that prohibits any federal retiree from receiving an annual pension greater than the median household income in the same metropolitan area.

[10] Enactment of a state law (in each individual state) that prohibits any state retiree from receiving an annual pension greater than the median household income in the same metropolitan area. 


This list will be updated as more suggested demands arise.
